Thrissur, Sept. 11 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has directed the submission of a comprehensive Action Taken Report on various issues concerning pilgrim facilities at the Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple, including Prasadam meals, crowd management, food safety, grievance redressal and security arrangements.

The intervention by the NHRC followed a complaint filed by Kochi-based RTI activist K. Govindan Nampoothiry, who said the complaint was submitted to ensure the rights of pilgrims and the availability of basic facilities at the temple.
