New Delhi, March 11 -- The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been allocating funds to the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) under the Development, Communication and Dissemination of Filmic Content Scheme (DCDFC) to promote the creation, innovation and global dissemination of Indian film content.
The information was provided in a written reply in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan to a query by G. Kumar Naik.
Under the scheme, the Ministry supports participation in national and international film festivals, extends financial assistance to filmmakers and film-related institutions, and undertakes initiatives to enhance the global reach and visibility of Indian cinema.
