Kolkata, March 7 -- In a significant development, R N Ravi, who has been appointed as the new Governor of West Bengal, is likely to arrive here on March 11, according to a message received from the Centre on Saturday.
After his arrival, he is expected to move into Raj Bhavan and take oath as the Governor, though the exact date of the swearing-in ceremony is yet to be finalised.
Ravi's appointment came soon after C V Ananda Bose resigned from the post of Governor on Thursday.
Following Bose's resignation, the union government appointed Ravi-currently serving as Governor of Tamil Nadu-as the new Governor of West Bengal.
