New Delhi, Sept. 7 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday said that her government, in coordination with the Municipal Corporation, is working to introduce a policy under which every building used for public activities, whether a PG, nursing home, school or any other such institution, would be required to undergo periodic structural audits and obtain building safety certification.
She emphasized that no public activities would be allowed in buildings without ensuring its safety. She also asked all the public representatives to report any illegal constructions underway, and action will follow in such cases.
