Chennai, Feb. 28 -- Commodore Nambiath Sudeep has taken over as the new Deputy Director General of Headquarters National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman Nicobar.
The previous chief, Commodore Raghav superannuated today after a long and illustrious career in the Navy and the NCC.
The NCC Directorate covers the state of Tamil Nadu and the union Territories of Puducherry (including Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam), and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
It now has 6 Group Headquarters and around 59 units including Army, Naval, and Air wings, with thousands of cadets enrolled in schools and colleges.
