Pune, April 2 -- Hemant Patil, National President of India Against Corruption, on Wednesday hailed the country's first digital census process which has commenced nationwide.

This census, being conducted after 2011, will provide accurate population data, enabling the government to plan more effectively in sectors such as education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure. It will help in policy formulation and ensure appropriate allocation of funds based on needs, directly benefiting common citizens, he said in a statement.

The census will also play an important role in reducing the gap between rural and urban areas. Emphasizing its importance for the country's future, Patil urged citizens to actively participate in the process.
