Chennai, Feb. 21 -- A new Low Pressure Area has formed over the Bay which was expected to bring heavy rains in Southern and Northern districts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai and its neighbouring districts for two days from tomorrow.
In an update on Saturday said, the wet spell would continue at isolated places over the State till February 25 with light to moderate showers.
The earlier system formed a couple of days has become less marked and moved towards Sri Lanka and a new system has formed over the same region today.
Meanwile, light rain occurred over Nilgiris, Madurai and Ramanathapuram districts, while dry weather prevailed over rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area.
