Bhubaneswar, June 26 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced that the state government will soon introduce a new Film Policy aimed at accelerating the growth of the Odia film industry, strengthening film infrastructure and ensuring the welfare of artists and technicians.
Addressing the 35th and 36th State Film Awards Ceremony at the Lok Seva Bhavan Convention Centre, the Chief Minister said the government has recently held extensive consultations with members of the film fraternity to understand the challenges and opportunities before Odia cinema.
