Patna, May 31 -- Senior BJP leader and West Bengal in-charge Mangal Pandey Sunday claimed that a "new dawn of democracy" had emerged in West Bengal and that people were now receiving the benefits of Central welfare schemes without discrimination.

Pandey said here that with the blessings of the people, the BJP had formed a new government in the state under the leadership of Suvendu Adhikari. He described the political change as not merely a transfer of power but the beginning of a new era marked by an end to appeasement, corruption and political violence.
