Mathura, Aug. 26 -- Former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament from Tripura West, and newly appointed National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Biplab Kumar Dev, visited the Shankaracharya Ashram in Govardhan on Wednesday along with his wife, renowned actress Triveni Rao Dev.
Dev, on his first visit to the ashram after assuming his new responsibility as National General Secretary, performed puja and Rudrabhishek at the ashram according to Vedic rituals.
After completing the rituals, he offered a garland and worshipped Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshajananda Dev Tirtha Maharaj, seeking his blessings. The BJP General Secretary then held a lengthy private discussion with Shankaracharya Maharaj in a closed room.
