Imphal, Aug. 27 -- New amusement facilities were inaugurated today at Indira Park here, marking a significant step in the park's ongoing revitalisation efforts.
The event was attended by Ngangom Uttam Singh, Director of MAHUD & DIPR, Leishangbam Lokeshwar Singh, Caretaker Mayor of the Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC), and Kiyam Chandrakumar Singh, Municipal Commissioner, IMC.
During the event, Ngangom Uttam Singh noted that Indira Park, a long-standing recreational space for families and children, had been closed for renovation and expansion.
He attributed the park's previous period of neglect to the COVID-19 pandemic and recent disruptions in the state.
