New Delhi, Oct. 11 -- Tech giant Apple was sued by two neuroscientists accusing the company of using thousands of copyrighted books without permission to train 'Apple Intelligence', its AI system.

The lawsuit was filed by Susana-Martinez Conde and Stephen Macnick, professors at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York.

They accused the tech giant of using 'Shadow Libraries' of pirated books to train Apple Intelligence. The lawsuit said that Apple utilized datasets comprising thousands of pirated books as well as copyright-infringing materials to train its AI system.
