Arti BaliNew Delhi, April 24 -- The Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, Marisa Gerards, has signalled that a significant high-level visit from the Netherlands is imminent, one that is expected to further elevate bilateral ties between the two nations to "strategic partnership".

Speaking at the King's Day 2026 celebrations hosted by the Dutch Embassy, Gerards said both countries are preparing to expand cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including trade, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors and innovation.

"We will strategically strengthen our relationship. Very soon, there will be a big visit, which we will formally announce," she said, underscoring the importance of trusted international partnerships.
