Dehradun, Sept. 10 -- Uttarakhand has alerted its border district administrations against activities of antisocial elements and social media in view of the political crisis, instability and violence in neighbouring Nepal.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami issued directives following a meeting with magistrates from three border districts: Champawat, Pithoragarh and Udhamsingh Nagar.
In view of the deepening political instability in Nepal, Dhami called for an emergency video conference with the district administration, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) officials and the police from three border districts to review security at the Indo-Nepal border last night.
He also directed the officials to stay on high alert along the Nepal border.
