Tridib BaparnashGuwahati, Sept. 11 -- With the Asian Games less than two weeks away, Nepal's seven-member boxing squad is using the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) National Centre of Excellence in Guwahati as its final high-performance training base before heading to Japan for the Aichi-Nagoya Games.
The Nepalese boxers have been training at the SAI NCOE since August 10 and will remain in Guwahati until September 15, gaining access to elite coaching, regular sparring, sports science and medical support as they fine-tune their preparations for the continental showpiece.
