Rome, May 12 -- Indian javelin thrower Sachin Yadav is set to make his Diamond League debut at the Rome leg of the prestigious athletics series on June 4, with Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra notably missing from the meet's entry list.
Neeraj, who is currently training and undergoing rehabilitation in Turkiye, is yet to start his 2026 athletics season. He was last seen in action at the World Championships in Tokyo in September, where he competed with a back injury and finished a disappointing eighth.
With Neeraj absent, the spotlight in Rome will be on Sachin Yadav, who has been listed among eight competitors for the men's javelin throw competition.
