Kolkata, April 7 -- The Election Commission released the district-wise breakup of names removed from the "under adjudication" list, revealing that 27,16,393 names have been struck off from a pool of nearly 60 lakh voters taking the cumulative deletion in West Bengal to 90,83,345 as of April 7.

Earlier, the Commission had removed as many as 63,66,952 names as part of the first list published on February 28.

In addition to this, over 27 lakh deletions have been effected to the adjudication list, taking the cumulative figure close to one crore, raising significant political and administrative attention ahead of the elections.
