New Delhi, June 9 -- The Government e Marketplace (GeM) has emerged as a key driver of India's digital governance transformation by enabling transparent, technology-driven, and citizen-centric public procurement, the platform said on the occasion of its milestone journey since inception on August 9, 2016.
Designed as a major governance reform, GeM has shifted government procurement from manual and fragmented processes to a digital, data-driven ecosystem. The platform has reduced human intervention, enhanced transparency, and simplified access to government procurement opportunities for businesses across the country.
