Bhubaneswar, April 9 -- Vijaya Rahatkar, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW), has called for the expedited disposal of pending trafficking and other gender-based violence (GBV) cases, emphasizing the need for timely justice and stronger response mechanisms at all levels.

Chairing a high-level meeting to review Odisha's initiatives on women's safety, security, and empowerment, Rahatkar stressed the importance of effective implementation of the POSH Act and other women protection laws, along with continued inter-departmental coordination at both state and district levels.
