Neeraj BaliChandigarh, July 22 -- The National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) has taken suo motu cognizance of media reports detailing a confrontation and alleged police action against striking sanitation workers in Barnala, directing the Punjab government to submit a comprehensive fact-finding report within seven days.
In an official communication addressed to Punjab Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha, NCSK Vice-Chairperson Hardeep Singh Gill called for an immediate, transparent, and impartial probe into the incident to establish the exact sequence of events.
