Mumbai, July 14 -- The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is teetering on the edge of a systemic collapse as internal grievances have finally spilled into the public domain. Five months after the tragic death of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a January 2026 plane crash, the party's stability is under severe strain.
In a significant acknowledgment of the ongoing turmoil, NCP national working president Praful Patel publicly admitted on Monday that the party is struggling to bridge the leadership vacuum, stating, "It is difficult to fill in the vacuum created after the death of Ajit Pawar. The party needs to take corrective measures".
