New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) has sought a report from the West Bengal government within 10 days on a complaint by Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Mahua Moitra alleging that senior Muslim IAS and IPS officers were excluded from official meetings and engagements during union Home Minister Amit Shah's visits to the state in July and August.
Moitra said on Wednesday that the NCM had taken up her complaint with the West Bengal Chief Secretary. "Thank you @NCM_GoI for promptly taking up with @chief_west the shameful issue of Muslim IPS/IAS officers being excluded from Amit Shah's official Bengal meetings.
