New Delhi, May 28 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday said that they have detained Rahul Balkrishna Shedge, a habitual drug offender with a long history of involvement in illicit narcotics trafficking and clandestine chemical operations.
He was detained under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (PITNDPS Act).
The preventive detention order was issued by the competent authority on May 14, and was executed by NCB on May 27. Following his detention, Shedge was lodged in Taloja Central Prison in Navi Mumbai.
