Srinagar, March 3 -- The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (NC) on Tuesday appealed to union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to consider releasing youths detained over the past two days, keeping in view the sentiments of grieving families and mourners.
Party chief spokesperson and MLA Tanvir Sadiq said such a humanitarian gesture would help ease public anguish while contributing to peace and stability in the region.
Describing the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a deeply tragic and distressing incident, Sadiq termed it a profound shock and an irreparable loss for the Muslim Ummah.
