Srinagar, March 18 -- The ruling National Conference (NC) is planning to introduce the Land Grant Bill 2025 in the upcoming Budget session, which is set to resume on March 27 in Jammu, aiming to restore land rights to the economically weaker sections.
Party spokesperson and MLA Tanvir Sadiq described the legislation as "very important" for reversing changes made in 2022 that, he said, "affected the land rights of the poor".
"There are many bills. In the session after this, there will be government bills and private members' bills. In that, I have a very important bill, Land Grant Act 2025," Sadiq told reporters.
