Mumbai, June 27 -- A 29-year-old resident of neighbouring Navi Mumbai city lost Rs 1.56 lakh in an alleged online travel scam after fraudsters posing as travel agents provided fake flight tickets for a planned honeymoon trip to Bali, Indonesia.
According to Nerul Police, the victim, Pranay Salvi, had planned a post-marriage vacation to Bali with his wife after their wedding in November 2024. While searching for travel destinations on Instagram, he came across a page named "B2B Bali DMC," which showcased promotional videos and advertisements for Bali tour packages.
