Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to convene a special session of the Odisha Assembly within 48 hours to pass a resolution protecting the state's political rights in the wake of the proposed Delimitation Bill.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Patnaik stressed that not even "0.001 percent" of Odisha's political rights should be compromised. He said his party would welcome the Delimitation Bill only if the state's political representation remains fully intact.
