Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- BJD president and Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Saturday wrote to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressing "deep concern and grave anxiety" over what he described as the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in the State.

In his letter, Patnaik referred to an alleged incident at Tigiria block under the Athagarh Assembly constituency, where senior BJD leader and Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain was allegedly obstructed and intimidated while on his way to attend the Tigiria Panchayat Samiti meeting on May 22.
