Ashok RainaDharamshala, Aug. 27 -- The National Statistics Office (NSO), Dharamshala, will conduct field surveys across Kangra and Chamba districts during September to collect data on various socio-economic indicators, an official said.

Assistant Director, NSO Sub-Regional Office, Dharamshala, said the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India, regularly conducts statistical surveys covering social and economic sectors.

The data generated through these surveys serves as an important basis for policy formulation, evaluation of development plans and assessment of welfare programmes.

During September, trained officials and staff will undertake fieldwork for several surveys in the two districts.
