Nashik, June 7 -- Directives were issued for NAFED and NCCF to begin procuring onions-produced by farmers in Nashik district-at the guaranteed price across all Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) starting Monday (June 8).
The appointed implementing agencies were instructed to complete all necessary procedural preparations by Sunday.
A meeting regarding onion procurement was held on Saturday morning at the District Collector's office.
State Ministers Chhagan Bhujbal (Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection), Dadaji Bhuse (School Education), and Narhari Zirwal (Food and Drug Administration), along with MP Bhaskar Bhagare and MLAs Suhas Kande, Dilip Borse, and Saroj Ahire, attended via video conferencing.
