Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday described the Nari Shakti Vandan Act as a transformative and much-needed reform to build an empowered India through stronger participation of women in governance.
Addressing the Nari Shakti Vandan meeting in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister said the time has come to fully embrace women's leadership from State Legislative Assemblies to Parliament.
He urged all sections of society to extend wholehearted support to the landmark legislation, calling it one of the most significant steps towards women's empowerment in post-independence India.
