Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- The Nandankanan Zoological Park here on Saturday received 58 exotic animals belonging to 14 species from the Radha Krishna Temple Elephant Welfare Trust (RKTEWT), Gujarat, as a donation.

With the addition of 10 new species, pairing of one species and infusion of new bloodlines into three species, the zoo's species diversity has increased to 188 species, zoo sources said.

The new additions are expected to strengthen Nandankanan's species-diversity profile and enhance its conservation and education activities.
