Mumbai, July 1 -- Congress MLA Nana Patole was suspended for a day from the Maharashtra Assembly's ongoing monsoon session today after he climbed on to Speaker Rahul Narvekar's podium and also allegedly abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a heated debate on the (Devendra) Fadnavis-led government not waiving off agri loans of farmers and stopping crop insurance.
This led to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition boycotting proceedings of the legislative assembly for a day to protest against Nana Patole's suspension from the monsoon session for a day.
