New Delhi, March 9 -- Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav on Monday said that Jwala, a Namibian cheetah, has given birth to five cubs at Kuno National Park, taking the national cheetah count to 53.
In a post on social media platform X, the Minister said, "With this birth, the number of Indian-born thriving cubs has risen to 33, marking the tenth successful cheetah litter on Indian soil and another important milestone in India's cheetah conservation journey."Recently, Gamini, a South African cheetah, gave birth to four cubs for the second time at the park.
