Dimapur, Sept. 15 -- Nagaland's legal metrology & consumer protection department on Tuesday directed all traders, dealers, retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, packers, and others engaged in trade and commerce in the state to strictly comply with the legal metrology & consumer protection laws.
In a notification, the department said the provisions of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009, the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011, the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011, and other applicable Legal Metrology Laws/rules must be strictly complied with by all concerned.
The department said its officers will conduct inspections and enforcement activities throughoutthe state to ensure compliance.
