Dimapur, Aug. 4 -- Nagaland's lone Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir on Tuesday urged the Centre to strengthen the infrastructure and academic facilities at the College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, Peren, a constituent college of the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.
Raising the issue in Parliament, Jamir highlighted the growing importance of veterinary education, animal health management and livestock development.
He appealed to the union minister for fisheries, animal husbandry and dairying to sanction key developmental projects for the institution.
