Dimapur, March 3 -- Nagaland's Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren Jamir on Tuesday called for creating awareness among consumers about the accuracy and benefits of smart meters.
He also urged the state power department to highlight the advantages of upgrading from conventional meters to smart meters so that consumers can better understand the system.
Jamir was speaking at the first meeting of the District Electricity Committee (DEC) to the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) at the Kohima DC's conference hall.
