Dimapur, July 9 -- Nagaland on Thursday felicitated 56 meritorious students belonging to indigenous Scheduled Tribes, including 43 girls, with the Chief Minister's Meritorious Students Fellowship (CMMSF) Award for their outstanding performance in the HSLC Examination 2026.
The awards were presented by the state Education Department at a function held at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima.
The initiative recognises meritorious students with certificates and provides them with financial assistance for five years.
Gracing the programme as the special guest, adviser to school education department Kekhrielhoulie Yhome said that the 56 achievers had distinguished themselves through hard work and perseverance.
