Dimapur, May 30 -- In a major relief to three families, Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav's intervention ensured prompt issuance of Unique Disability ID (UDID) cards to three persons with disabilities.
Taking note of a news report highlighting delays in the issuance of UDID cards to three persons with disabilities in Peren district, Yadav intervened and directed the departments of social welfare and health & family welfare to take immediate action on the matter.
He instructed the departments to ensure that the pending UDID cards of three applicants, Kerehunglungle, Nchayi Kuame, and Keligumbe Hairangbuing, were processed and issued within seven days by May 29.
