Dimapur, Feb. 19 -- union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ram Nath Thakur on Thursday said Nagaland continues to witness progress through various initiatives of the Central Government. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is particularly concerned about the welfare of farmers and is keen to ensure that they fully benefit from government schemes.
Thakur was addressing an official programme at Longleng with all heads of departments and civil society's organisation.
He urged the agri. and allied departments to seek details regarding the total area under cultivation in the State, including the number of hectares being farmed and the number of farmers involved.
