Dimapur, April 11 -- The SAMARTH Northeast Innovation Hackathon 2026 was held at the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima today, aiming to map each student's potential to understand their calibre, behaviour, strengths, and analytical abilities.
NIELIT Kohima organised the programme.
Altogether 13 teams from across the Northeast region participated in the event, with young innovators displaying outstanding performances.
PM Shri School Mizoram secured first place in the hackathon competition, followed by PM Shri School Thahekhu, Dimapur, in second place, and Jalukbari Higher Secondary School, Guwahati, in third place.
All remaining participants received consolation prizes.
