Dimapur, March 26 -- Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav today urged the people of the state to observe Earth Hour effectively on March 28 by switching off non-essential lights, reducing energy consumption, and spreading awareness about environmental conservation across the state from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
In a message, Yadav called upon the citizens to extend their full cooperation in this symbolic act of solidarity for the planet, saying it is a worldwide movement organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature aimed at raising awareness on climate change, energy conservation, and environmental sustainability.
