Thiruvananthapuram, June 27 -- Senior Scientist N. Jayan has been appointed as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), one of the premier centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) responsible for the development of liquid, cryogenic and advanced propulsion systems for India's launch vehicles and space missions.
A distinguished scientist with decades of experience in propulsion technology, Jayan has held several key leadership positions within ISRO. He has served as Associate Director of LPSC at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Project Director of the Cryogenic Stage Project, and Project Director of the ambitious Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV) programme.
