Kadapa, April 11 -- The police fired at murder accused Avula Venkatesh, in which he suffered bullet injuries on both legs on the outskirts of Mydukur town in the wee hours on Saturday.
Police told the media here on Saturday that the police were taking Venkatesh (19), who killed a minor girl, Elluru Ramakeerthana (17), on Friday in Khajipet when she refused his marriage proposal, to the Badvel police station from Khajipet, suspecting that an irate mob might attack the police station.
