Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- Mumbai's drinking water reserves continued to improve following sustained monsoon rainfall across the catchment areas, with the combined stock in the seven lakes supplying water to the city crossing the 90 per cent mark, according to the latest official data.
The Hydraulic Engineer's Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), in its bulletin released on Monday, said the total useful water stock in the seven reservoirs stood at 13,03,500 million litres, accounting for 90.06 per cent of the total live storage capacity of 14,47,363 million litres.
