New Delhi, July 31 -- Mumbai's residential real estate market continued its strong momentum in July, with property registrations expected to touch their highest level for the month in more than 14 years, reflecting sustained homebuyer demand despite elevated property prices and a high base from last year.

According to Knight Frank India, Mumbai (under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation jurisdiction) is estimated to register 13,617 property transactions in July 2026, marking an 8.3 per cent year-on-year increase. At the same time, the Maharashtra government is projected to collect Rs 1,223 crore in stamp duty, an 8.9 per cent annual rise, highlighting continued strength in the housing market.
