Mumbai, July 2 -- A fake call centre duping people by promising jobs with Air India, was busted by Mumbai Police with 11 accused arrested from Dehradun, officials said on Thursday.

Police seized one laptop, 13 mobile phones and the entire call centre setup used in the fraud.

According to police, a victim lodged a complaint at local Mankhurd Police Station on February 27 this year alleging that he was cheated of Rs 2.68 lakh after being promised employment with Air India, Mumbai.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act.
