Mumbai, June 26 -- Mumbai Police have busted a major drug smuggling and trafficking racket with the arrest of an indiviual and seizure of 750 grams of heroin valued more than Rs 3.57 crore, officials said here on Friday.

Acting on a tip off, an officer of the Anti-Narcotics Cell apprehended a youth in suburban Goregaon with the heroin packed in small sachets. An offence under sections 8(c) and 21(c) of the NDPS Act. was registered against him at the Bangurnagar police station. He was produced before a NDPS special court which remanded him into police custody till June 30.
