Mumbai, June 19 -- Ahead of the 60th foundation day events of Shiv Sena and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Mumbai Police has issued an alert over a possible law-and-order situation.
In an advisory issued by the Special Branch of Mumbai Police, officials warned that speculation surrounding six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs potentially joining the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena could heighten tensions between workers of the two factions.
Police fear that during the events scheduled in Goregaon and Sion, there could be protests, counter-protests, and direct confrontations between supporters of both groups.
