Mumbai April 29 (UNI) Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner Ashwini Bhide on Wednesday conducted surprise sanitation inspections in Wadala and Chembur areas as part of an intensified citywide cleanliness drive that calls for greater citizen participation.The inspections follow a review meeting of the solid waste management department on April 9, where Bhide directed officials to set up a central control room to monitor sanitation activities across Mumbai.Assistant commissioners in all wards have been instructed to conduct regular field visits to ensure local cleanliness standards are met.Bhide emphasized that cleanliness must be treated as a continuous process and called for mechanised vehicles to maintain hygiene along coas...
